The Deep Dark Woods on the JUNOs red carpet, April 1st, 2012.

The Deep Dark Woods on the JUNOs red carpet, April 1st, 2012.

We’re back from our tour of the Midwest US and Ontario. There were some really great shows on the tour, so a big thank-you to all of you who came out to see us play. We had a great time taking part in some of the JUNO awards activities in Ottawa.
One of the biggest highlights was the sold-out show at the Great Hall in Toronto, where we had to great pleasure of playing with some friends Kendel Carson, Old Man Luedecke (who played an enchanting opening set), and The Good Lovelies. The entire set was recorded by Canada Live, CBC Radio 2, and we will post the airing date and where to stream it on demand, when it is all announced! Here are some photos from the night and what BlogTO thought of the show: BlogTO.

Next on the agenda is a 3 week run of shows and festivals that starts in North Carolina, goes west to Texas and all the way back. We’ll be taking part in Merlefest in Wilkesboro, NC; Sunfest in West Palm Beach, FL; and Secret Stages in Birmingham, AL. Check our Tour Dates for a full list of shows and ticket info.

Last but not least, we’ve added the following to the list of festivals we’ll be taking part in this summer:

Bunbury Music Festival – Cincinnati, OH

We’ve also just announced that we’ll be taking part in JUNOfest which takes place at venues around Ottawa. Our showcase is at The Live Lounge on Saturday March 31st at midnight.
